My name is Zack, and I have been playing guitar for close to twenty years, and have worked as a professional musician since my time at university studying Music Technology. Music is my passion, and I love to share that with others, and inspire them on their own musical journey! I graduated university with a 2.1 w/hons, to add to my RSL grade 8, which I achieved in 2011. I also have a level 2 Safeguarding qualification.
I was fortunate enough in my youth to receive tuition from some fantastic musicians, which has really shaped not only my playing, but also my teaching style as well. I listen to, and play, a wide range of musical styles, from Pop to Metal, and everything in between. My current band play a lot of funk-based music, which is incredibly fun, if challenging! I find it very hard to choose a ‘favourite style’; this changes constantly! But I like to listen to everything, as there is always something to learn, ‘borrow’, and inspire you to create your own sound!
Since leaving university in 2011, I have consistently worked as a gigging and session guitarist, and began my teaching career in 2016. I have been working with New Era for the last few months, and they’re a great company to teach through!
